2002 – 2003: Serb Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina – served as Chairman of the Presidency until April 2003
2000 – 2002: President of the Republic of Srpska
1998 – 2000: Vice President of the Republic of Srpska
1980 – 1990: Economic systems “Famos” Sarajevo – “Engine factory Sarajevo” and “Unis” Sarajevo
–          work experience in the administration began as Secretary of the Municipal Assembly of New Sarajevo;
–          in one term he was both President of the Executive Board of the Municipality of East New Sarajevo and East Sarajevo Mayor;
–          served two terms as a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska.
– He has been a member of the Serbian Democratic Party since the year 1990.
